    2005 Forester LL Bean Edition

Posted 04 July 2015 - 10:06 PM

Just picked up my first Subaru. It's a 05 Forester LL Bean Edition. Car has had its share of mishaps. Both of which happened while the car was parked and they left the scene. Unfortunately my mother only had liability on it and it never got repaired. She was sick of seeing it so she told me to come pick it up. It needs front and rear bumper covers, hood, driver fender, pass headlight, pass tail light, wheel and muffler. Thankfully the car had an extended warranty and she kept up on maintenance so she runs like a champ.

No serious mods planned as its a non turbo automatic. She'll just be a dependable DD. Will probably end up adding some stock WRX suspension and some different wheels once I get the body in decent shape again. If you see a beat up junk looking blue 05 Forester feel free to beep, point at me, and laugh. LoL

Here it was back in 2013. Was really nice then.

Here is my play toy. It's a 99 GT. Has a decent bit of mods. Not crazy fast but fun none the less.

I don't think I've ever even seen an LLbean Forester. Pretty swanky.
If you find yourself justifying your decisions to "haters", you probably make stupid decisions.

I would daily the shit out of an Outback 3.0 sedan LL Bean. Love the stock ride height, its what makes a Subaru a Subaru.

Yeah its not a bad car at all minus the bumps and bruises it has. I love the interior and it has a monster moonroof.

Anyone know someone parting one out or a junkyard with one? Trying to piece it back together as cheap as possible.

Welcome and nice ride!  I didn't even know they made Foresters in LLBean.  Looks like a great daily.

Where abouts in Anderson?  I'm moving to Summit Estates off of 8 mile at the end of the month.

It's just some panel replacement and a lil body work on the quarters. Definitely worth saving.

You can order replacement keys from Thule, I am a dealer, just need the number etched on the core of the lock.

My WRX has the Yakima Whispbar and the previous owner did not have the key. Couldn't access the core so what I ended up doing was calling up REI and they allowed me to come up there and the guy came out with two GIANT key rings and we both went to try them one by one to find the right number. Wouldn't you know it the first key unlocked it, great customer service at REI.

Hah, hey Drew! Yeah I can't get the lock out to check the number so I'm going to have to check with the guys drew mentioned. Or just sell it to fund parts the car really needs. LoL
